9. Let It Breathe°
Sail on upon the seas
Let none deceive
The weight that calls to me
In part, in peace
Can I learn to crave all mistakes
Turn back and say:
Here I hold my old reflection love
But it ain't me
Just a thought that was caught
in absentia
and sentenced
to leave
For when you return here to me
Resolve to leave philosophy
To the ones who retreat
Somehow caught in-between the stars and the sheets
Still just trying to read these dreams
Somehow old, Somehow new
With someone I never knew
Here I hold my old reflection love
But it aint me
Just a thought that was caught
in absentia
and sentenced
to leave
For when you return here to me
Laid my flaws beneath you
Waited for the storm
Gave my word to leave you
Better than before
When you return here to me
When you return here to me
When you return here to me
When you return here to me
When you return here to me
Current-borne, wave-flung, tugged hugely by the whole might of ocean, the jellyfish drifts in the tidal abyss. The light shines through it, and the dark enters it. Borne, flung, tugged from anywhere to anywhere, for in the deep sea there is no compass but nearer and farther, higher and lower, the jellyfish hangs and sways; pulses move slight and quick within it, as the vast diurnal pulses beat in the moon driven sea. An insubstantial creature, it has for its defence the violence and power of the whole ocean, to which it has entrusted its being, its going, and its will.
You want to see the fiction
You want to walk the sands
You want to know the ending
Because you don't Understand
Little love there was never time to show you
What it was that we were running from
Brittle Bones I was seeking omens
But as it was I just came back here
Opening text taken from "The Lathe of Heaven" by Ursula K. Le Guin
I want what you have
Though it may hold me back
To share the silence
with a whiskey and a photograph
Half of us is spent
Half is left to share
There's resolution in the air
In the fading of a breaking heart
Happiness hard to fight
Old aesthetic
Sold to sacrifice
All I said is
Happiness is hard to fight
So much for silence
So much for lovers last
The road was diamonds
With a whisper of let it pass
Half of us is spent
Half is left to share
There's resolution in the air
In the fading of a breaking heart
Old aesthetic
Sold to sacrifice
All I said is
Happiness is hard to fight
Old ascetic
Sold to sacrifice
All I said is
Happiness is half the fight
There is no end
There is no start
Can we pretend a while
That everything won't fall apart
You were a master
But a passenger on page
Come out, come out now
Everything has changed
Do not look past her
To the light that fades
Here is the rapture
Here is the sun I saved
Watching her just breaks my heart
How you gonna hold the hand that hurts
Aren't you gonna fold the fires first
Let me give you something strong to see you through
The love, the goal, the cage, the crew
Hear it your
Bones
Just a note of it
Even when they're
So
Sanctimonious
See it in the
Goal
Not the loneliness
This is not a curse
But you gotta leave it first
Separate the love from the war
Care a little less, lose a little more
Try to start a fire, try to slip away
Slamming on the keys pressing Alt-J: "Na na na na"
Hear it your
Bones
Just a note of it
Even when they're
So
Sanctimonious
See it in the
Goal
Not the loneliness
This is not a curse
But you gotta leave it first
Brittle Bones I
Love you so
I could not call
I did not know
Here we fought
A futile war
Sometimes less
Sometimes more
But we're preserved in
Too much wine
Won't you rest
Clementine
Show me you're ready to fall forward in time
Show me there's something else to find
Show me you're hurting, show me the line
You'll be the weather, I'll be the sky
Seven thoughts
In a line
Reach to fault
The seven signs
Where you were
Where you are
When it's all
Another start
Come on rest
Come on rise
Come on let
The seasons die
Come on there's
Too much time
Too much left
To fall behind
Show me you're ready to fall forward in time
Show me there's something else to find
Show me you're hurting, show me the line
You'll be the weather, I'll be...
Je veux vivre
Je veux donner
J'ai été mineur pour un cœur d'or
Ce sont ces expressions
Je ne donne jamais
Qui me garde à la recherche d'un cœur d'or
Help me rest
I am weary
Though the battle is won
Some great test
Less a theory
Is this all I have done?
Throw your stones
They are only pebbles
Sun is worn
On the face of rebels
J'étais à Hollywood
J'étais à Redwood
J'ai traversé l'océan pour un coeur d'or
J' étais dans mon esprit
C'est une ligne si fine
Cela me pousse à chercher un cœur d'or
Et je vieillis
Et je vieillis
I read you those poems not for nothing
Made of splinters and sun
With the camera closed and you bluffing
Time is nothing to us
Stockholm Syndrome and some mild abetting
Once a home, now you're only letting
Her down
And I tried to fix us like a toy or a token
But what if some things are more beautiful broken
And we drank till our scars were all fierce and open
But what if some things are more beautiful broken
We're all looking for answers, solutions to be spoken
But what if some things are more beautiful broken
What if some things are more.
Je veux vivre
Je veux donner
J'ai été mineur pour un cœur d'or
Ce sont ces expressions
Je ne donne jamais
Qui me garde à la recherche d'un cœur d'or
Tu me continues à chercher
Et je vieillis
Et je vieillis
Narrated text from "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young

If only all
If only all that we had
If only all that we had chosen
If only all that we had chosen not to
If only all that we had
chosen not to seek
If only all that we had
chosen not to seek could
Stay between at least the brave
If only all that we had
Chosen not to seek could
Stay between, at least
The brave
and all their lonely graves
You love the light
But your bitter enough
Across the lost reply
I call your bluff
At least I will release you
into every setting sun
At peace I will repeat:
"This was always to come"
All I lean to is
a bottle high
It's never enough
Lust arrives
In the Sefirot's cup
If life is love denied
Will it hold you up
At least I will release it
Into each and every one
In pieces I will leave you
The fictions of us
Alone I hear the
Settled sigh
You've suffered enough
Time
Set a course for you
Set a course from crown towards the ground beneath your youth
What grows from now is just the sound with which you breathe
Of our thoughts
Of our faults
Of our needs
Let it breathe
Let it breathe
Let it breathe
not natural or ethereal,
not composed of elements at all.
I do not exist,
am not an entity in this world or in the next,
did not descend from Adam and Eve
or any origin story.
My place is placeless,
a trace of the traceless.
Neither body or soul.
I belong to the beloved,
have seen the two worlds as one
and that one call to and know,
first, last, outer, inner, only that
breath breathing human being.
Time
To let it fall to you
Let it fall and steal the old desire from the new
When it’s done you’ll feel the folding fire floating free
Of our thoughts
Of our faults
Of our needs
Let it breathe
Let it breathe
Let it breathe
